EV Charger Installation

Hardwired Level 2 charging at home, with a load check first so your panel can actually carry it.

The work

What ev chargers actually involves

A Level 2 charger runs on a 240 volt circuit, the same class of power as your dryer, and charges an EV roughly six to eight times faster than the cord that came in the trunk. The install is a dedicated circuit from your panel to the charger location, sized for the charger's draw, with the wire, breaker, and termination done to code. The part that matters happens before any of that: a load calculation that proves your panel can carry the new circuit.

When you need it

  • You bought or ordered an EV and the 120 volt cord adds 3 miles of range an hour
  • Your garage has no 240 volt circuit
  • A quote from another shop skipped the load calculation entirely
  • You want the charger on the outside wall for a driveway spot

Rebates, the current truth

What charger money is actually left in 2026

The federal charger tax credit expired June 30, 2026. What remains: SRP and APS each rebate $250 on qualifying Level 2 chargers, and if the install needs a panel upgrade, Arizona HEAR covers up to $4,000 for income qualified households. We sort your utility and eligibility as part of the quote.

Asked constantly

EV Chargers questions

Hardwired is cleaner, allows higher amperage, and most manufacturers require it for their top charge rates. A 14-50 receptacle is fine for portable units. We will tell you which one your charger and panel actually support.
