The work

What inspections actually involves

An inspection is us going through the system the way we would before buying the house ourselves: panel condition and workmanship, breaker types and sizing, grounding and bonding, GFCI and AFCI coverage, a sample of outlets and switches, visible wiring in the attic, and alarm coverage. You get a written report that separates safety items from code updates from cosmetic notes, so you know what actually matters.

When you need it

  • You are buying or selling, and the general inspector said get an electrician to look
  • The house is 1980s or older and has never been evaluated
  • Insurance asked about the panel brand or knob and tube
  • You are planning a remodel and want the real baseline first

Asked constantly

Inspections questions

No. City inspectors check permitted work against code. This is a health check of the whole existing system, on your side of the table.
